Your First Soul - Necromancer
For this Rift Mage Leveling guide, we'll choose Necromancer as your initial soul. The reason you want to obtain this class first is since it gives you a pet.

Your pet is extremely great for leveling up; it deals an impressive amount of damage and may solo most monsters 1v1. Even from level 1 you can begin taking on enemies in 2v1 or 3v1 circumstances right away due to your pet.

Your Second Soul - Warlock
Warlock is the ideal second soul to get a Necromancer. By accessing Warlock, you get two more early DoT spells: Life Leech and Dark Touch. Place two points in Warlock as quickly as you are able to to unlock Dark Touch.

Your Third Soul - Dominator While it may seem like an uncommon choice, Dominator will be the ideal third pairing for the Necromancer and Warlock duo.
