Mining is one of 3 Collecting professions and yields Minerals (Ore and Gems). Miners don't use their own products but provide them to other people. The professions most in require of Miners are: Armorsmith, Artificer, and rift cleric builds storm legion Weaponsmith.
Harvesting Mineral nodes can produce ore and gem containers.
Mining nodes are found nearly exclusively on or close to rocks. This could be a cliff encounter, a small rock around the ground, or perhaps a big boulder.
No special resources are required to mine.
Make use of the Forge to smelt Ore into Bars.
This really provides a marvelous way to level up your ability, as you cannot usually know exactly where to find a resource node, but you can almost always discover lots of a specific type of mob.
